- 2 cups Fresh Strawberries about 300g, hulled and chopped
- ½ cup Granulated Sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
- 2 tbsp Cornstarch thickens the glaze
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice enhances flavor and preserves color
- ½ cup Water helps dissolve ingredients smoothly
- ½ tsp Vanilla Extract optional , adds extra depth of flavor
Prepare the Strawberries – Wash, hull, and finely chop the strawberries.
Cook the Mixture – In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and water over medium heat. Stir continuously to prevent lumps.
Simmer & Thicken – Let the mixture cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and the glaze thickens.
Blend (Optional) – For a smoother glaze, use an immersion blender or mash with a fork for a chunky texture.
Add Vanilla (Optional) – Stir in vanilla extract for extra depth of flavor.
Cool & Use – Remove from heat and let the glaze cool before using. It will thicken further as it cools.
